History: This area was originally known as the Goolwa Effluent Ponds. In 2010 a new wetland was constructed to assist in the filtering, polishing and storage of recycled stormwater for use parks, gardens and recreation areas into the future.
Habitat: Australian native shrubs and trees have been planted through the area.
Total Species Recorded to Date: 143 (non-passerines 93, passerines 50)
Common Species: Australasian Shoveler, Pacific Black Duck, Grey Teal, Hardhead, Red-kneed Dotterel, Black-fronted Dotterel
Less Common Species: Chestnut Teal, Freckled Duck, Yellow-billed Spoonbill, Glossy Ibis, Common Sandpiper
