Where is it?: Lenger Reserve is c. 18km NE of Mannum off Springs Road and straddles Saunders Creek.

History: The Reserve was donated to the National Trust of South Australia in 1978 by Rudolph Gustav Lenger to be used as a bird sanctuary.
Habitat: Woodland with River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) occurs along Saunders Creek. Much of the remaining area is Open Mallee with Red Mallee (E. oleosa), Yorrell (E. gracilis), Dryland Tea-tree (Melaleuca lanceolata) and some Southern Cypress Pine (Callitris gracilis).

Common Species: Brown Treecreeper, Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater, Weebill, White-browed Babbler, Grey Shrikethrush, White-browed Babbler
Less Common Species: Black Falcon, Peaceful Dove, Chestnut-rumped Thornbill, Grey Butcherbird, Restless Flycatcher
