History: A new boardwalk through the swamp was opened on 1 May 2014.
Habitat: Shrubland with Swamp Honey-myrtle (Melaleuca squamea), Prickly Tea-tree (Leptospermum continentale) and Native Broom (Viminaria juncea). Understory plants include Coral Fern (Gleichenia microphylla), Soft Water-fern (Blechnum minus), Soft Twig-rush (Baumea rubiginosa) and Pithy Sword-sedge (Lepidosperma longitudinale).
Focus Farm takes up twenty hectares of the area with 2000 tree agro-forest established in 1995.
Total Species Recorded to Date: 85 (non-passerines 41, passerines 44)
Common Species: Superb Fairwren, New Holland Honeyeater, White-browed Scrubwren, Australian Magpie, Golden-headed Cisticola, *European Goldfinch
Less Common Species: Australian White Ibis, Straw-necked Ibis, Cattle Egret, Latham’s Snipe, Southern Emuwren, Grey Shrikethrush
