Where is it?: The Knoll Conservation Park is along Waverley Ridge, opposite the corner of Upper Sturt Road and Sheoak Road, Crafers West.

History: There are a number of early newspaper reports about The Knoll as a Public Pleasure Resort 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. On 9 November 1967 it was proclaimed as The Knoll National Parks Reserve 7 and on 27 April 1972 it became The Knoll Conservation Park 8.
Habitat: The habitat is mostly Messmate Stringybark (Eucalyptus obliqua) with larger understorey plants such as Native Cherry (Exocarpos cupressiformis) and Golden Wattle (Acacia pycnantha). There are also a number of exotic plants.
Total Species Recorded to Date: 48 (non-passerines 18, passerines 28)
Common Species: Adelaide Rosella, Striated Pardalote, Striated Thornbill
Less Common Species: Fan-tailed Cuckoo, Grey Fantail, Laughing Kookaburra
